OneCJIS Process Automation Engine
OneCJIS's role based process engine allows the department or agency to automate, monitor and improve the efficiency of its internal and external processes. Roles can be assigned to each step of the various processes. Users assigned to the roles will get notified via email when they need to be involved with specific processes. Aternatively, when the user logs into the application, the process engine will display the pending process flow items that the user needs to act on. OneCJIS process manager will allow the department to define its specific activities, including a time allocation for each activity, so the system can generate alerts to the officers.
Role based Process Automation Engine Custom Process Templates can be created for each PD process (Incident, Investigation, Citation, Warrant, etc). Multiple Process Automation Templates can co-exist simultaneously within a PD for different processes.
Roles can be assigned to various steps of each individual process. Process Manager can display the status of each process within the enterprise and can indicate all activities/roles/documents that have been completed, pending, delayed, approved or rejected.
Process Automation engine will document timestamps for all steps, roles involved, documents that are part of the process, etc.
Example Process Automation template:
• Incident can have a process template defined where the Trooper creates the initial Incident
• After the Trooper enters appropriate data, the Trooper can mark completion
• The incident is then routed by Process Automation Engine to the Sergeant for verfication and completion of data entered
• After the Sergeant verifies that all data entered is in compliance with PD requirements, the Sergeant can mark completion
• The Incident is then routed by Process Automation Engine to the Lieutenant for final approval
• After the Lieutenant approves the Incident, the Incident is routed by the Process Automation Engine to its next phase which could be Investigation or Closure
